PLOD is a turn-based puzzle & strategy game. We keep data to a minimum. PLOD
shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob — served
non-personalized, with no advertising identifier collected — and contains
no third-party analytics SDKs. See Advertising below.
Information the app handles
Display name. You create a display name to play. It identifies you in the
game and appears on leaderboards, so other players may see it. Please use a nickname rather than
your real name or any personal details.
Anonymous device identifier. A random identifier stored on your device, used
to save your progress and settings and to group your feedback. It is not linked to your real
identity.
Gameplay information. We record gameplay data — such as the level you played,
the mode, the result, your move count, and any rating you give — to power leaderboards and to
improve and tune the game.
Technical information. App version and platform (Android/iOS). When the app
connects to our server, your IP address is used only momentarily to route the request and to limit
abuse; we do not use it to identify you or keep it for analytics.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or
photos. We do not access your device's advertising identifier: on Android the app removes the
advertising-ID permission, and on iOS we do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt or use
the IDFA — so the ads we show are non-personalized.
How we use the data
show leaderboards;
save your progress and settings;
improve and tune the game;
enable or disable features for your device (remote configuration);
keep the service running and prevent abuse;
show optional rewarded ads (Google AdMob) so the game can stay free.
Where data is stored and who it is shared with
Our server runs in the cloud (United States).
Gameplay and rating records are stored in our own private storage.
Your display name and scores may be visible to other players on leaderboards.
We do not sell your data. The only third party we share data with is Google
AdMob, solely to deliver the rewarded ads described under
Advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.
Advertising
PLOD offers optional rewarded ads — you can watch a short ad to refill puzzle
hints. These are served by Google AdMob, Google's mobile advertising service.
Ads are non-personalized. We do not request the iOS tracking permission or
use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and on Android the app removes the advertising-ID
permission — so ads are not targeted using a profile of you.
To deliver ads, limit how often they appear, and protect against fraud, Google AdMob still
processes limited data such as your IP address, general device and app information, and ad
interactions.
We keep gameplay and rating records while they remain useful for running leaderboards and
improving the game. Your display name persists so it can appear on leaderboards; you can change it
in the app at any time.
Your choices
You choose your display name — use a nickname, and you can change it at any time.
Children's privacy
PLOD is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children; the data the app handles is anonymous
gameplay data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change when we
do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
